Hendrik Smock (Drums)
HENDRIK SMOCK is surely among the most talented percussionists of his generation.
He completed his studies at the Academy of Music in Cologne under KEITH COPLAND, BILL DOBBINS and JIGGS WHIGHAM.
He has also won various national and international competitions and festivals (e.g. in Brussels, Antwerp, Bilbao, Leipzig, Leverkusen, Cologne).
In addition he has played, toured, taken part in radio and CD productions with MICHAEL BRECKER, DAVID LIEBMAN, MARTIN TAYLOR, PETER BERNSTEIN, VINCENT HERRING, CHARLIE MARIANO, INGRID JENDEN, BILL GRIMES, LUTZ HÄFNER, TONY LAKATOSH, SILVIA DROSTE, JEAN SHY, JOHN GOLDSBY, JOHN MARSHALL, JOHANNES ENDERS and MARTIN SASSE.
For many years he has been a permanent member of the band of British singer ROACHFORD, who flies him into London regularly, as he believes that there is no percussionist in England who can groove like Hendrick.
